Our Story
The SUN program is a partnership of Lillian Walton (left) and Amma Johnson (right). Lillian is a registered nurse and immigrant from Kenya. She has advanced her career and is a connector for immigrant nurses in her community. Amma has a background in economic development. Her mother was a nurse, an immigrant from Ghana. They understand and empathize with the acute needs of employers to fill positions coupled with the need for a "sense of belonging" for immigrant nurses in new communities. Together, they launched the SUN Program to help advance communities.
